Light a Candle for Parental Alienation Awareness Day

Light a candle for the victims of Parental Alienation/Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) and in support of Parental Alienation Awareness Day (PAAD). Light a candle to symbolize the light at the end of the tunnel, where alienated children and "target" parents may find their way back through the darkness to a healthy and loving relationship that endures.
On April 25th, light a candle, say a prayer or have a moment of silence today for the child victims of Parental Alienation. If your own children are victims, light a candle for each of them.
Let's work together to fight our way back through the darkness! Our children deserve the love of both of their parents!

We are proud to inform everyone that since the last month, Brazil has the most modern and comprehensive laws in the world with regard to PA and PAS. This law is the result of two years of work by a group of parents who wrote the text and their representatives have sought to promote a political cause. Important to record the actions of Congressman Mr. Regis de Oliveira who, among other things, has been an important member of our judiciary. I know that the Google translator is not great quality but, here translated to Brazilian law:

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC I know that the Congress decrees and I sanction the following Law:
Article 1 This Law provides for parental alienation.
Art is considered second act of parental alienation interference with psychological training of the child or adolescent promoted or induced by a parent, grandparents or those who have a child or adolescent under his authority, care or supervision to repudiate parent or adversely affecting the establishment or maintenance of ties with it.
Sole Paragraph. Exemplary are forms of parental alienation, and acts as declared by the judge or discovered by expertise, or charged directly with the aid of third parties:
I - opening campaign of disqualification of the parent's conduct in the exercise of parenthood;
II - hinder the exercise of parental authority;
III - hinder contact with child or teen parent;
IV - to hamper the right of regulated family life;
V - the parent deliberately omit relevant personal information about the child or adolescent, including educational, medical and changes of address;
VI - to present false complaint against parent, family against this or against grandparents, to obstruct or hinder their coping with the child or adolescent;

Help us build awareness about PAS in Edmonton. We will be holding an Information Event at the Old Strathcona Farmers Market (104 ave + 82 St) from 0900h - 1500h. We could use volunteer help to man the Info Table and help by handing out the PAAO brochures. Resources include DVD's literature, books and other local resources to help individuals deal with PAS. I have got long-time volunteers to help with set-up and break-down, but we could use some volunteers to help-out during the day.

We need to protect our children from this emotionally devastating situation. When I say our children I mean all the children as all children are our responsibility.
I will arrange a Parental Alienation Awareness Day gathering if there are enough people interested in getting together.

On Sunday April 25th, we are planning a surprise flash mob at noon at Yonge and Dundas Square, Toronto, Ontario (Directions below).
In order to participate you will need to buy, and bring, a bottle of soap bubbles. These are easily bought at your local dollar store or toy store.
On Sunday, April 25th:
- Synchronize your watch or cell phone at this website.
- Arrive at Yonge & Dundas Square at least 15 minutes before noon and go about your business.
- At NOON you will hear a whistle. STOP wherever you are, whatever you are doing, AND
start blowing your bubbles.Do not stop blowing bubbles until you hear the whistle blow again,
FROM 1 - 3 minutes.Do NOT talk TO OR
engage anyone during the bubble blowing period.
- Take a brochure OR
two
FROM a member OF the PAAO team(FOR yourself AND TO hand out) AND
CONTINUE about your business.
This event IS being put together IN honour OF Parental Alienation Awareness Day,
which raises awareness about mental AND emotional child abuse.
The bubbles represent LOVE AND

Info-Stand zum Parental Alienation Awareness Day (PAAD) am Sa, den 24.04.2010
Am Samstag, den 24.04.2010, wird die Selbsthilfegruppe PAS Rhein/Main" ( http://www.pas-rhein-main.de/ ) einen Info-Stand in der Frankfurter Innenstadt, Biebergasse, aufbauen.
Anlass ist der Parental Alienation Awareness Day (PAAD), der weltweiten Tag der Eltern-Kind-Entfremdung, am 25. April jeden Jahres.
Mit dem PAAD soll auf die Problematiken der Eltern-Kind-Entfremdung aufmerksam gemacht werden. Durch Aufklärung, Bildung, Wissen, Erziehung und Information soll Wahrnehmung und Bewußtheit für elterliches Entfremdungsverhalten geweckt werden, dass elterliches Entfremdungsverhalten in der Gesellschaft allgemein als nicht mehr akzeptal eingestuft wird.
Unser Info-Stand wird offen sein von 11:00 Uhr bis ca. 14:00 - 16:00 Uhr (Ende offen), je nach Anzahl wieviel Stand-Helfer/innen wir haben.
Wir unterstützen auch und machen mit bei der Bubble of Love-Campaign anläßlich des PAAD.

April is proclaimed "National Child Abuse Awareness Month, and April 25 has been proclaimed "Parental Alienation Awareness Day" in many states across the nation.
As Coloradoan's and members of the Colorado Three Sides to Every Story, Inc., Equal Justice Foundation, Inc. Coalition for Equal Parenting, Equal Parenting Party, Inc., CoFathers, Abuse Freedom United, Inc. and MensIssues Online, sponsors and co-sponsor's of this event, we recognize these proclamations and honor our lost, missing and alienated children...
We will conduct a “March” and "Candlelight Vigil" on Sunday April 25, 2009 7:00– 9:00 P.M. in recognition of April 25 as "Parental Alienation Awareness Day", Child Abuse Prevention Month, and our lost, missing, and alienated children.
The “March” will begin at 7:00 P.M. at the NE corner of 14th and Logan, progress north to Colfax, west on Colfax to Bannock St. and South on Bannock St. to the Denver Civic Center where we will conduct the candlelight vigil.
The “Candlelight Vigil” will be conducted on the east steps of the Denver Civic Center…on Bannock St. between 14th to 15th St. in Denver, CO from 7:30-8:30 pm on Sunday evening April 25, 2010
Please join us in the effort to raise awareness and ask for correction of serious issues within our Colorado systems that is hurting our families and killing our children.
